How To Shop at Sephora (without panicking)
I suck at buying makeup. If left to my own devices I would buy everything at Rite-Aid and none of it would match my face. I’m still coasting off the makeup my friend Lauren bought me for my wedding, when she held my hand and steered me through Sephora, plucking all kinds of products off the shelf that I’d never even heard of. In my day-to-day life I do my makeup on the subway, and I still stick to the basics I taught myself in high school: concealer, eye liner, mascara, and a little bronzer to hide the fact that I spend most of my days indoors, chained to the Internet.
Don’t get me wrong - I’d love to be good at it. The problem is just that buying makeup seems SO overwhelming. When I walk into a Sephora, the aisles and aisles of options are enough to make me turn around and run. So I end up putting off buying make-up for as long as possible until I’m literally using Q-tips to scrape out the bottom of the bottle.
Since I know I’m not alone, I figured it was time to call in an expert who could help: Stylist and blogger Chelsa Skees, who also happens to be one of the prettiest (and nicest) people around. This quick how-to video will teach you once and for all: How To Shop at Sephora (without having a panic attack).
